the baseball diaries

Give this man a standing O!!!
For as much crap as we give Sit'n Sleep, he really came through last night. 10 rbi's vs the Yank! Wow! That's an Angels record for most rbi's in a game besides the fact that the Angels scored 18 runs, the most ever vs NY. That was truly amazing. Lambo pitched well, though the five runs given up was not good. I think that should have been called an error on Gary Matthews Juicer though. Kenny Howdrick also lit it up with an rbi and 3 runs scored as did Mice Hair scoring 4 times from 3 hits and a walk. I'm impressed and frankly shocked that the Angels put such a beat down on anything the Yank threw at them, literally.

Shouldn't be much of a shock. The Halos always bring their best against the Yank. Torre can't get out of Anaheim fast enough. But unfortunately for GA, he has spent himself. After having a game that was more productive than his entire season thus far, he is sure to disappear for the rest of the year.

I hope you are wrong about GA, but can't help thinking you are right.

Torre is already on a plane back to NY, trying to negotiate a deal to manage the Red Bulls...

Last night's game was superb. GA was on fire, as was pretty much the entire offense not named Kotchman.

Why am I afraid Lackey will suck tonight?

And why am I afraid that the Mariners will never lose again?

Argh, I almost forgot about the M's. They are sticking too close for comfort. They need to start losing!!

Lackness better be on point tonight because this ain't the time to stutter...

I think the Angels finish the sweep, but the M's do as well and we find ourselves gradually losing our grip as the season draws to the end.

Well the M's lost today...So Lackey, how about you pitch like the ace that you are?

Never mind me making any more predictions. Shields? Ugh.

That was a bitter pill. I think Shields is being way overused, that's why he's struggling, but hey, who is left? Should we make Cousin Oliver our go to guy?

HA!!
